How it works?

OPTION 1

COMMUNITY STYLE COMPOSTING

We set up 96 Gallon Composting Containers at the pre-existing disposal areas on the property. The ordinance states that residence should not walk further than 25 feet from existing dumpsters to dispose of organics. Thus, we make sure our community composting set up is in compliance.

We ensure that we are in compliance with all of Travis County’s composting guidelines, including the “1 gallon per resident” rule. For example, if an apartment community has 192 residents, we would set up at least two 96 Gallon Community Containers (96+96=192).

We pick up, transport and dispose compost once per week. However, unlike the trash companies, WE ACTUALLY CLEAN THE BINS EVERY SINGLE TIME. THIS IS A NON-NEGOTIABLE WHEN DEALING WITH DECOMPOSING ORGANICS. OTHERWISE, RESIDENTS WILL COMPLAIN ABOUT ODORS 24-7.

We educate residents on best composting practices both in person and through video links.

OPTION 2

VALET STYLE COMPOSTING

We give every resident a 1-gallon freezer composting bin so they can compost in their freezer, without odor.

We educate residents on best composting practices.

Residents leave their composting bins out on Green Days.

We dispose the contents of each bin, clean them, replace the bins and transport composting materials to our drop-off site.
